We believe building relationships is the most important thing we do in the Children's department. Because we think children are very important, we spend much of our time talking and praying with the children. We also feel that the stories within the Bible should stay as true to the scripture as written as long as it is within the appropriateness of the ages we are teaching.
Our Sunday school takes place inside the Sunday worship service. We feel it is important for children to experience worship, so that as they grow older it will become second nature. Because of this, we ask that the children arrive with you and sit for the beginning of the service. They will get to hear and sing worship songs and also experience baptisms, the adding of new members, commissioning our missionaries and our "Minute for Missions", etc. The pastor will call them up to the front of the sanctuary and pray with them. They are then released to Sunday School. Children 3rd grade - 5th grade will be released on their own after the service. Children 2nd grade and under need to be picked up from the Sunday school classroom. Currently, we are using the 3rd classroom on the left as you enter the Children's department.
